Kate Rose Biography
KATE ROSE is a soulful singer-songwriter who has built her life around hard work and uncompromised commitment. At the tender age of 23 she has already seen most of Australia and can also produce an entire stage show thanks to the long hours of touring with her father, a long-term sound engineer for some of Australia’s elite music groups.
Growing up around the best in music, Kate learned from a young age exactly what it would take to make her mark. She felt the long hours, she saw the sacrifice and worked on the show. That priceless experience coupled with her feel for music, song writing abilities beyond her years and instrumental talent has provided her with all the tools required to reach her ultimate potential. It’s now a case of time, perspiration and inspiration.
Born in Sydney’s Western Suburbs, Kate grew up on the Central Coast and fell in love with telling stories through music at a young age. Inspired by the likes of Kasey Chambers, Missy Higgins, Holly Williams and the Dixie Chicks there was little doubt she was going to end up a singer-songwriter.
Starting at the CMAA Senior Academy of Country Music 2016,writing with the likes of the late Karl Broadie and 2018 Golden Guitar Winner Female Artist of the Year - Aleyce Simmonds, Rose has certainly covered some ground to date.
She has mustered a tour resume that includes opening for Bob Corbett (Star Maker Winner), Mickey Pye (ARIA #1 Country act), Kristy James (CMC Featured Artist), Aleyce Simmonds (Golden Guitar Winner Female Artist of the year 2018), The Weeping Willows and Kirsty Lee Akers. Her debut single written with the aforementioned Broadie and Simmonds entitled ‘More Than Meets The Eye’ is available now on iTunes and all streaming services and platforms. The song was produced and recorded by Scott Bird and Andrew Beck at Riversong Music.
Kate now calls the Country Music Capital of Australia - Tamworth home and is working towards writing for her next release.
